June 15th

Hey everybody,

Well it sounds like the same rainstrom that I got to play in a few weeks ago has decided to park itself over the SL Valley. I hope that you all will be smarter than me and remember your umbrellas. Life here in Brasil is going great. The weather is flippin cold which isnt too much fun. During the day its about 65 degrees maybe 70 but at night when we are going back to our house with the wind it gets down to 35-40 which without a jacket is cold. The mission rules here are that we cant wear sweaters or jackets. The only option is our suit jackets. But then that means that we have to wear them all day becuase we never return to our house during the day. So we usually just freeze at night.

The work the last couple weeks have been great. We have had investigators at church and some are progressing nicely. On Thursday morning we had a great oppurtunity to help the young men in the ward learn what mission life could be like. On Wed night all the young men in the ward had a sleepover at their leaders house. We decided Thurs morning to have a "mission morning" with them. We showed up at the house at 6:30 am which is when Elders have to get up, and they were all so.... happy when we entered and started singing Called to serve. Turns out their little sleepover had just ended at 5am only 90 minuted before. Not our problem. After a few minutes their were all up and the morning started. They started with their 30 minutes excerise sessions and after we had breakfast and then our study session. By the end they were all happy and could feel the importance of what we were doing. I love the ward here and all they do for me. Today we really dont have too much planned which I am greatful for. I hope everybody has a great week and the weather turns for the better for the both of us.
